Christmas Sewing

With 6 lap quilts, a TARDIS tent, a new job, tutoring, quilting class and some energetic kids, my blogging time has be limited, OK, non-existent.  I look forward to getting back in the swing of things after the New Year.  Until then, may you all have a safe and Spirit-filled Christmas!

There is so much for me to be thankful for!  The list could go on and on, but I will will just say, Happy Thanksgiving to you all!  Enjoy your time with friends and family!  From my house to yours!

Fun on Friday

Jessica from How about Orange posted a link to a great quiz.  So, after taking it and having the quiz nail my style completely, I thought I would share it with you!

In case you are interested, I am Country Classic.  I like things organized, yet inviting and my happy home colors are yellows and oranges.  Oh, and I may enjoy layering different fabrics and patterns to make my home more inviting and I need throw pillows.  I should get on that!

The Great Dilemma

This weekend posed a great dilemma for me.  The sun was out (not common for the NW) and I had an idea for crafting.  What to do, oh what to do???  Well, it was not as hard to make a decision as one might think.  I have 9 months of rain to stay inside.  So, my creative juices were spent trying to find something fun to do with three kids and little to no money out.  Some ice cream and fabric from IKEA, playing and family and friends yards, a public fountain and some Ben & Jerry's and our weekend was complete.  I even got a little tan.  I call that a successful weekend!

Still Working

It seems as though I have not been home lately.  Spring break always gets too busy and goes by too quickly.  Maybe I will make more progress next week!

Multitasking

As I was sitting down to quilt my Cafe' Baby, I started to think.  What do you do while you craft and create?  I will often open the laptop and listen to Pandora, watch a movie, or find a podcast.  I can't create in silence.  Fortunately for me I have children.  Sometimes I just sit at the sewing machine and listen to them play.  Last night, I sat down to sew in-between different steps of dinner.  I know a lot of crafters, but I don't know the environment in which they create.  I was just curious as to what makes you create.

The Carrot

Does anyone else have to dangle a carrot to get things done??
