The Next Quilt

is in the works.  Is there anything more beautiful than hundreds of nicely stacked 5" squares?  I cut a few more than needed, just in case!
I suppose 150 HST might come close!  (That is half square triangles for those of you still wondering)
Fabric is my one weakness!

The View from Here

Today was my daughter's last day of school.  I am SO excited!  Hopefully I can finish this project soon with all my new free time!

My Table

There have been many projects gracing my table as of late.  Here are a few of them...

 1)  That is a basket for my little girl's school fundraiser.  I made the tote and a matching pillowcase to add to about 50 pounds of candy...
 2)  This sweet little bunny pancake grace our table Easter morning...
 3) My little girls quilt in progress

4) The view on my table currently.
What I didn't post was pictures of Mother's Day gifts in the making.  I am still not done with them, but getting there.  Oh, and another carseat canopy that will make it's debut in my ETSY shop soon.

Under the Weather

I have had my hands busy with people feeling unwell, including myself.  So what have I to do with all this time at home beside make sure my little loved ones are taken care of?  Well sew, of course.  This is what I have been working on...
80 blocks for my daughter's new quilt,
almost finishing a faux chenille blanket,
and making three new carseat covers for my ETSY shop.

All in a weeks work!

Meet George

My grandfather named all monkeys George and I have carried that on.  So, here is George.  He finished the quilt top and now I just need to quilt and bind it.

On another note, there are a few more canopies in my ETSY store.

Off the Couch

Today was the first day in the last several that I felt like creating.  Three of my kiddo's came down with illness and I too was fighting something.  I actually had some energy today.  So I brainstormed.  There are not a whole lot of crafting gifts for men out there and with my Dad's birthday and Father's day coming up I knew I couldn't wing it.  I do have some ideas now, but I will share them in a later post.  I did get the rotary cutter out and prepared some carseat covers....
I worked on a quilt top...
I also worked on some new quilt designs while watching Doctor Who with my not-so-little, little girl.  It felt so great to make some progress on something.

Cafe' Baby

I have finished the top of my cathedral quilt that I am naming Cafe' Baby.  Now it is time to pick out the backing and binding!! Brown or Red?  So many decisions.

What do you think?

Well, most of the windows are finished and I am now debating if I will do the half windows on the side with color or not.  This is entirely machine stitched as I have yet to develop a love for hand quilting (probably come with maturity).I am planning on adding a border and making this a baby quilt.  My sort of baby quilt, coffee themed and visually stimulating.  I love the look of the cathedral window quilt.  I definitely see more of these in my quilting adventures!

On a side note, I think I have found a project for my daughter's first quilting experience.  Now she gets to pick some fabrics from the stash.  This won't happen until next week some time as I have a very busy weekend of the less creative sort.  However, I am sure I will be ready to launch into some new projects come Monday.
